After graduating from the Toho Gakuen School of Music, Kimiko Imani studied in the Konzertexamen Program at the Hochschule fur Musik Detmold, where she graduated with top marks. She has been performing as a soloist and a chamber player, mainly in Germany but also in other European countries, Russia and Japan. Imani has performed with many orchestras in Japan and abroad, and has garnered high praise for her work.
